Cranial Sacral Therapy

Focusing on the wave-like, rhythmic pulse that flows through the entire body.

Cranial Sacral

Is a gentle, non invasive healing modality that focuses on relieving compression in the bones of the skull and spinal column including the sacrum. It focuses on the wave-like, rhythmic pulse that flows through the entire body in the spinal canal and through the skull. The pulse is generated from movement of cerebral spinal fluid through the dural system in the spinal canal.

Through gentle pressure on the head, neck and back blockages can be released, relieving stress and pain from compression. This compression can be caused from many things including motor vehicle accidents, physical and emotional trauma, repeated poor movement patterns of overuse, concussions, and even trauma from the birth canal in childbirth.

In a typical session that can last up to an hour, the patient lies quietly on their back, fully clothed while the therapist applies light contact to vairious points along the spine. No forceful pressure is used.

Common experiences for the patient are a deep sense of peace and wellbeing, deep relaxation, relief of tension and headaches and feeling more balanced. Typically patients are seen for 4-10 sessions. People of all ages can be seen for this treatment.

Who can benefit? People with:

  • Migraine headaches
  • Constipation
  • Post concussions
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Sleep disturbance
  • Sinus trouble
  • Scoliosis
  • Neck and back pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • TMJ
  • Emotional trauma-PTSD

Private Sessions Are Available With LeeAnn

This treatment addresses the bones of the head, spine and sacrum. Relieving compression in these areas helps to alleviate stress and pain. This is done through very gentle, manual manipulation that affects membranes and fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord, as well as, attached bones. These techniques are extremely gentle and helpful with symptoms such as neck and back pain and headaches. LeeAnn is also trained in visceral manipulation which addresses facial restrictions affecting organs in the abdomen and pelvis. This work is profound and creates a deep release in the spine, abdomen and pelvis, allowing organs to restore and function more normally.
